You push with all your might and knock the crate over with a resounding clang, sending neon blue spilling out across the floor, a thin frail body coming with it, spluttering like a fish out of water. You rush forward to help them.

You drop to your knees with a sickening squelch, turning the figure onto its side as it starts coughing up blue. Their hands scrambles at nothing, thin fingers like claws.

You hold their hand. Or you don't. Either way they die, but at least you can rest knowing that you gave them comfort in their final moments. Or you didn't.

What do you do now?

Unfortunately it doesn't matter. Before you can decide what to do with the body or how to clean up the mess the door to the cargo bay opens and your manager steps in. Someone passing by the cargo bay had heard a crash and alerted them. You've been discovered. You try to plead your case but it doesn't matter. You saw something you weren't meant to and now you're paying the price. You are granted an undignified death, right there, red blood mixing with blue.
